What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care.
A nutritional therapist will identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms, goals and health concerns.
Nutritional therapy is widely recognised as complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions as well as all those looking for support to enhance their general health and wellbeing.

Do I need to see a Nutritional Therapist?

Fad diets, self help books and social media! You may have tried them all and still be struggling with energy levels, weight management or stress. Whether you don’t know where to begin, or to keep going, seeking Nutritional support often proves beneficial.

What happens in a Nutritional Therapy consultation?

When you arrange a 1:1 consultation whether it be face to face or via Skype, I will do an assessment of where you are. This will include talking through your medical history, likes and dislikes, your lifestyle, sleep habits, and exercise. Depending on your reasons for seeing me, whether it be a one-off appointment where I can suggest some slight changes to your diet, or whether you need my support for a longer period, we can put together an eating plan for you. There is no ‘one size fits all’ quick fix. I consider it very important to make sure I make changes to your diet that fit with your lifestyle.
